Jim Churchman...a community leader dedicated to serving parents and strengthening Olathe families…
Jim has lived in Johnson County since 1997. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. In 2003 Jim graduated with honors from the Executive Fellows Program at Rockhurst University with a Masters in Business Administration. Jim is certified in purchasing law and international business contract negotiations.
Jim and his wife, Kim, have been happily married for 20 years. They have a son, Andrew, who is 9 years old and is a third grader at Bentwood Elementary in the Olathe School District.
Jim has over 23 years of professional leadership experience in the areas of supply chain, operations, finance and technology applications. He has formerly held executive-level positions in both the automotive and telecom industry and is currently a director of global supply chain for a local high-tech navigational device manufacturer.
Jim Churchman is the founder and president of The Advisory Group, LLC, a global business improvement consulting firm whose primary practice area centers on operational improvement and strategic sourcing, with expertise in the areas of contract negotiations and complex agreements for consortiums, software, professional services, debt management and technology related products and services. Jim is considered an industry leading advisor in e-auction methodologies and applications, and has served as a strategic advisor for corporations on both the buy and sell side. He has led more than 100 strategic sourcing initiatives totaling over $10B in products and services.
On the Olathe Board of Education, Jim serves on the Finance Committee, Insurance and Benefits Committee, Career and Technical Center Committee and Learning Committee.
Jim and his family have been active members of Christ Lutheran Church in Overland Park, Kansas, since 1997.
